Globes - not the classroom kind.

So, I realize I'm not a fashion editor or a stylist, but I get some serious joy from fashion (mostly just admiring). If only my personal budget would allow purchases from boutiques other than Forever21, Target, and H&M...maybe someday.

This, unfortunately, does nothing good for one of my favorite actresses.

Portman - Pregnancy glow is gorgeous. Dress is hideous.
I don't understand how this could cost more than all of my wardrobe combined...

Zoo of a day.

Today, we used our annual family zoo pass for the first time with Jacob, Gennie, Elam and Jude. Even though it was frigid out, we got to enjoy several indoor exhibits. I think this gift is going to be AMAZING in the spring and summer. Sophie enjoyed all the animals more than I expected! Here are some snapshots of our day (before the camera battery died).

 Sophie had her first real big girl bath this evening in the REAL bathtub! :) She enjoyed herself...

Bowling adventure

We took Sophie bowling on the last day of the year that she was born. She enjoyed herself. Dad bowled 2 excellent games. Mom, on the other hand, had probably the 2 worst games she'd ever played...in her life. What's important is that we had a blast and Soph was very well behaved (much better than the little girl a couple of aisles over!).

Violet...among other things

My Pal Violet is really neat (or My Pal Scout if you're a boy)! I would highly recommend it. Soph is in love with her. :)

On another note, Sophie had her 9 month check up this morning. She is "perfect" and "chill" according to Dr. Reiser. He couldn't get over how good she was the whole HOUR we were there. The wait was a bit excessive, considering our appointment was at 8:30....and that was the earliest appointment.  Oh well.

Our girl is 27 1/4 inches long, 19.2 pounds, and her head was 17 1/2 inches in circumference. She's growing like wild. As you can see, she was impressed with herself! Luckily, no shots today. Mama and Dada were happy about that!

Merry Christmas!

Got the Christmas cards printed yesterday, and they're all in envelopes. Just need to pick up the stamps and drop them in the mail. I made approximately 7 cards this year - it was hard narrowing it down to THE card. Here, for your viewing pleasure, is the runner up. Hope your card arrives before too long! :)
